live Middletown Music Festival 2016

Our mission at J.Cherry Foundation is to bring local arts and culture in the community, to the airways, the stage in Connecticut, and worldwide on the web. Using video and audio technology as tools, we put a creative spin on delivery of the arts. Broadcasting is an integral part of our mission, not only as a means to reach people, but as an art form in it of its self. Aside from performances, we will also bring educational opportunities via workshops, lectures, and interviews, by professionals in the community. On a seasonal basis, in our historic barn, we will host handcrafted and locally grown foods, as well as acoustic musical performances and workshops. By providing a platform for artists and creators, we also help the economic development in our community through outreach, education, and performance.

We produce a music, arts, and culture, radio program airing on WESU 88.1fm. VOICE of the CITY, airing on WESU 88.1FM Middletown, Tuesday evenings from 8-9PM, since 2009. Here we showcase the many talented and creative people in Middlesex County and beyond. In addition to our radio program, will are planning to bring live video broadcasts from our historic barn of performances, interviews, and lectures. With the intent of broadcasting live on social media platforms.

Each summer we bring, The Annual Middletown Music Festival, now in its 8th year to the campus of  Middlesex Community College. One of our core values is keeping our shows open to all by providing a free festival supported by donations. Our belief is that music, arts and culture, should be available to all.

Live and local… music, arts, and culture, is good for the community!
