The Story of Phoebe Liou and The University of Connecticut

Informed consent is a basic human right. Yet all across the country universities are denying this right to students by mandating vaccines and testing. This is the story of Phoebe and her courageous stand for the right to say, no.

Hesitant to receive the COVID vaccine due to its rush to market without any known long term effects, Phoebe took an exemption. In the exemption, testing was recommended. Soon after Phoebe would learn that testing was mandatory, and the test UCONN was mandating that she take was not a diagnostic test, but was for research use only!

Phoebe chose UCONN for its diversity and inclusion, in return the university cancelled her and deleted her merit scholarships.

The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential.

This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be so situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, over-reaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion; and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision.
